Sales Center hours are 12-6 M-F and 10-5 Sat & Sun and, with digging underway, it won’t be long before we have all the final details on this new building and interest is high.

Our soon-to-be new neighbor, Izzy’s Ice Cream, treated Bridgewater residents to 100’s of free pints of their famous ice cream on November 27. In addition to ice cream production, their building will have a scoop counter. It may be hard to imagine now with winter setting in, but the scoop counter will surely be a popular destination for neighborhood residents, workers, and Gold Medal Park visitors come Spring.

Fee: $14 adults, $12 seniors and college students, $10 children ages 6-17 and MHS members. Tour includes museum admission.

Take an in-depth look at the historic Washburn A Mill complex and the award-winning Mill City Museum building on this guided tour. A museum interpreter will take visitors into the building’s many nooks and crannies, highlighting the lives of the men and women who worked there, how the building functioned during its peak flour milling years and the many changes to the building over time. Also covered will be how the mill ruin was converted to a museum and office building.

Although many parts of the A mill can be explored on a self-guided basis during a regular museum visit, this is the only opportunity for a guided tour through the entire museum building, and the only chance to see some of its non-public spaces. The tour includes admission to the museum gallery as well as the Flour Tower show.

New Rivers Press celebrates their 2012 fall releases with reading by Nick Healy, Sharon Suzuki-Martinez, Nick Knittel, and Tim Nolan.

Nick Healy’s short stories have appeared in several publications, including North American Review, Speakeasy, Water~Stone Review, and Blueroad. His first collection of short stories, It Takes You Over, is New Rivers Press’ 125th Many Voices Project prizewinner in prose.

Art Attack is an annual open studio and gallery crawl at the Northrup King Building, in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. The weekend-long event features over 200 artists working in painting and drawing, sculpture, photography, custom furniture, fiber arts, metal, ceramics, glass, hand-crafted and custom jewelry, mixed media, mosaics, textiles, and more.

Art Attack is an exciting opportunity to gain admission to private studios and to buy original art direct from local, nationally and internationally known artists. Enjoy live music and live demonstrations.
